For a smooth path into your studies
What should I study? Acting, Fine Arts, Architecture, or perhaps Teacher Education? What matters most to me: theory or practice? What happens if I make the “wrong” choice in my degree program? What do I need to do after being admitted? And is there vegan food in the cafeteria?
Before starting university, questions keep piling up. Some decisions may feel like a burden. The good news is: no one is alone in this! All students ask themselves the same questions at one point or another. And for all uncertainties, our Student Advisory Service is here to help – free of charge and without obligation.
The easiest way for general questions: our advisory form. Simply fill it out, send it off, and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. If you would like a particularly quick answer, you can also contact the Student Advisory Service by phone at +49 2222 9321-1011.
For those who are already further along in the decision-making process, we recommend subject-specific advice from our colleagues in the departments.
One of the most important questions when choosing a degree program is funding. Between tuition fees, BAföG, and scholarships, our funding advisory service provides support – non-binding and free of charge.

Making it work: advisory services for students
Questions or problems can also arise during your studies, whether because your individual life situation has changed or because your degree program somehow turns out not to be the right one after all. And at some point, career choice becomes important and many people ask themselves: what actually comes after graduation?
At Alanus University, personal support for our students is a matter close to our hearts. We do not see our students as matriculation numbers, but as people – with all the individual needs they bring with them.
Questions about study funding may also arise after your studies have begun. In addition, Alanus University offers a number of exclusive scholarships for its students. Applying is worthwhile! The study funding page provides information and advisory services.
