International? We’ve got this!

The International Office of Alanus University helps students, lecturers, and staff from the university go out into the world. Conversely, it serves as a point of contact for international students who can imagine a stay or a degree program at Alanus University. The basis for the work of the International Office is, on the one hand, the internationalization strategy of Alanus University, which defines the priorities, goals, and measures of international activities, and, on the other hand, the Erasmus Charter for Higher Education (ECHE), which forms the quality framework for cooperation activities at the European and international level within Erasmus+.

The university-wide Committee for International Affairs meets once per semester and works on implementing the internationalization strategy.

Paths abroad for students

All students enrolled at Alanus University can receive organizational and financial support for a study stay abroad. There is the possibility of studying at a partner university for one or two semesters or completing a mandatory or voluntary internship abroad.

Our partner universities worldwide are shown on the following map. Financial support for studying, a guest lectureship, or further training at an Erasmus+ partner university is available through the Erasmus+ program. For studying at a direct exchange partner university, there is the possibility of financial support through the PROMOS program. In exceptional cases, you may also receive funding through the PROMOS program for studying at a university anywhere in the world with which Alanus University does not have a cooperation agreement.

The colleagues at the International Office are happy to help with any questions or problems.
