The Department of Creative Arts Therapies and Therapy Science at Alanus University is dedicated to therapeutic, academic, and artistic education and research, and in particular to professional qualification in the field of art therapy.
Studying art therapy at Alanus University means gaining comprehensive qualifications for the diverse demands of this therapeutic professional practice. The foundations of core therapeutic competencies are one’s own artistic development as well as art therapy, medical, and psychotherapeutic content.
To this end, the degree programs Art Therapy – Social Art (Bachelor of Arts), Art Therapy (Master of Arts), and from March 2026 Music Therapy (Master of Arts, pending accreditation) are offered.
