Fountain of Youth ‒ Supervision and Self-Care for Art Therapists

This continuing education course offers specialist and practice-oriented case supervision as well as the opportunity for supervision related to the workplace, team, and professional decisions. Guided by the experienced professors of art therapy, Prof. Dr. Rabea Müller and Prof. Eva Paul, the weekend is complemented by academic and art-therapeutic input, and there is space for collegial networking and exchange.

Physical well-being is also taken care of, and on Friday evening we offer a nourishing vegetarian buffet.

Artistic therapists with a successfully completed university degree or advanced students with practical experience, a comparable qualification, or corresponding suitability based on professional experience.

This seminar is aimed at art therapists who are seeking supervision and exchange on professional questions. We invite you to look beyond your own horizon, be inspired, and enjoy a refreshing weekend that also offers opportunities for networking and collegial support. Our program includes supervision (case supervision, supervision related to the workplace, team, and professional decisions), as well as academic and art-therapeutic input. On the first evening, a “banquet” with vegan catering awaits you, offering the chance to enjoy enriching exchange in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Prof. Dr. Rabea Müller, Professor of Art Therapy at Alanus University, Head of the Institute of Art Therapy. Studied special education with a focus on art therapy and speech therapy education at the University of Cologne (Diploma). Doctorate (Dr. paed.) at the University
of Cologne. Founded and headed the curative education and art therapy practice for children and adolescents and the artig Academy (further and continuing education in the fields of art, therapy, and education) in Cologne together with Dr. A. Preß. Freelance staff member for the
museum service of the City of Cologne. Teaching activities at various universities and institutes, leadership of teaching art therapy, supervision, and intervision groups.

Prof. Eva Paul, Professor of Art Therapy at Alanus University, Dean of the Department of Artistic Therapies and Therapy Science, Head of the BA Art Therapy-Social Art program.
Studied art therapy/-education (Diploma, University of Applied Sciences) in Ottersberg/Bremen. Further training (certificate) in systemic therapy and counseling (Helm Stierlin Institute, Heidelberg), licensed alternative practitioner for psychotherapy. Since 1992 working in private practice with children,
adolescents, and adults. From 2004 – 2019 art therapist and psychosocial specialist in pediatric oncology, palliative care, and psychosomatics (Klinikum Bremen-Mitte). Teaching activities at various universities and institutes, leadership of
supervision and intervision groups.
