University continuing education with certificate with Sabine Rachl, Monica Bissegger, Prof. Dr. Susann Kobus, Prof. em. Dr. Rosemarie Tüpker
University continuing education with certificate / Music Therapy in the Palliative Context
5 in-person modules – certified by the DMTG with 150 continuing education points
The certificate course is aimed at music therapists who would like to orient themselves in the palliative field of work or who are already working in palliative care settings. It is also intended for music therapists seeking in-depth study and exchange, or for those who encounter the topics of dying, death, and grief in other professional contexts and would like to integrate these into their work. Music geragogues or therapists with other additional qualifications may also be admitted in individual cases. Through a close interweaving of theory and practice, participants acquire the qualifications needed for sensitive, resonant, and protective individual music therapy work in this field.
Based on the development and reflection of one’s own attitude toward death, dying, and grieving processes, participants acquire a corresponding repertoire of music therapy methods in order to develop or expand their own professional scope of action in working with patients and their families in this field.
