University continuing education with certificate with Prof. Hildrun Rolff

If biography were not a narrative but a hypothesis, then life would become a laboratory.
Every body bears traces, every relationship raises questions, every crisis sketches a new image. Art therapy can become a space in which we test these hypotheses – visually, sensorially, and intellectually.

This continuing education program opens up an exploratory approach to relationship biography: How are relationship experiences inscribed in the body, in images, and in posture? How can they become visible, open to inquiry, and transformed in the artistic process?

Participants work on their own topics, reflect on case examples, and deepen their methodological competence in dealing with biographical and transgenerational relationship patterns.
In this sense, the continuing education program sees itself as an art-therapeutic field of research – a space in which aesthetic practice, perception, and relationship become forms of knowledge.

Objectives and content

In the five online modules, theoretical foundations, artistic exercises, and art-therapeutic interventions are interwoven.
The focus is on:

  • the exploration of biographical choreographies in the image-making process,
  • the perception of transgenerational dynamics,
  • working with formation, dissolution, and reordering as expressions of inner development,
  • and the experience of the shift between inner image, action, and resonance.

Artistic practice, short lectures, partner exercises, and joint reflection enable in-depth, experience-based learning.

Modules

Early attachment, body memory, and familial resonances.
