Deciding on a degree program is not always easy. To better support prospective students who are still undecided, Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter near Bonn has launched a special program:

In the performART Bachelor’s degree program, interested applicants have the opportunity to try out the first two weeks of the semester (07.09. to 18.09.2026) to find out whether the program suits them – free of charge and without obligation. At the end of the two weeks, if they are interested, they can take the aptitude test and, if they pass, simply continue their studies. The aim is to make it easier for prospective students to begin their studies and to give them as realistic an insight as possible into actual everyday student life.

The performART degree program is unique in the German-speaking world. performART combines performing and visual arts and prepares students for career prospects in artistic, educational, and therapeutic fields. The program gives students the opportunity to deepen their personal interests and work in both interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary ways.
