The Rectorate
The current Rectorate of Alanus University has been in office since 2024. Rector Prof. Dr. Thomas Maschke (2nd from left) is supported by Chancellor Michael Schröder (right) as well as Vice Rectors Prof. Dominik Schiefner, Dean of the Department of Performing Arts, and Prof. Dr. Stefanie Greubel, Head of the Childhood Education degree programme.
In accordance with the Art Academy Act of North Rhine-Westphalia (§ 16), the Rectorate manages the art university in all matters for which no other responsibility has been expressly defined. It ensures that the bodies, committees and office holders carry out their duties and that the members and all affiliates of the art university fulfil their obligations. The Rectorate consists of the Rector, the Vice Rectors and the Chancellor.
