Places of Remembrance - Exhibition in the Former Children's Home Cologne-Sülz
At the invitation of the “Förderverein Erinnerungsorte Kinderheim Köln-Sülz e.V.” (FEKS), students of Fine Arts and Architecture at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter near Bonn, as well as at the Saar Academy of Fine Arts, engaged with the theme of “remembrance” in the context of the nearly 100-year history of the Cologne-Sülz children’s home.
The exhibition presents artistic positions, design concepts, and methodological approaches. Through their work, the students explore the question of how the past can be remembered at this special place, the present experienced, and the future shaped.
