For Equal Opportunities - Against Discrimination. A Poster Project
Unfortunately, discrimination is still part of everyday life for many people today. In order to raise public awareness of the many facets of this problem and to point out ways toward better coexistence, the Institute for Philosophical and Aesthetic Education has entered into a cooperation with the Bonn Anti-Discrimination Network.
Students in the bachelor’s program “Philosophy, Arts and Social Entrepreneurship” are carrying out an interdisciplinary poster project, accompanied by lecturer Harald Hoppe, which, following the presentation of the designs at Alanus University and selection by a jury in autumn 2018, will lead to an exhibition at Bonn City Hall. The most suitable motifs will be produced as posters and postcards.
The poster project is funded by the State Agency for Civic Education NRW as part of the program “NRWeltoffen: Local Action Plans against Right-Wing Extremism and Racism.” In addition to the Bonn Anti-Discrimination Network, the Municipal Integration Center of the City of Bonn is also involved.
On behalf of Alanus University, the degree program director Prof. Dr. Thomas Schmaus and the artist Harald Hoppe are responsible for the project.
Project period: March – September 2018
