All Is One
A five-week landscape and sculpture symposium of the second year of the Sculpture degree program in the sensory experience field “One & All” of the Christopherus Laufenmühle community, a curative education institution near Welzheim in the Swabian Alb.

The project began with an artistic workshop in which 12 residents of Laufenmühle, under the guidance of Miriam Nolte and Lukas Thein, shaped several dozen clay sculptures: human figures, hybrid beings, and objects. After the ceramic firing, some of the sculptures underwent a transformation as students of Alanus University, in dialogue with the motifs formed in clay, developed ideas for installations on the grounds of the sensory experience field. Over the course of the project, this dialogical element continued: the artists of Laufenmühle became involved in the realization of the individual projects, and engaging with the respective sites of the installations represented a further level of dialogue.
The works are publicly accessible in Laufenmühle’s sensory experience field.
