17 Goals. City.Country.Bus. A theatrical research journey from the future.

Multimedia theater – Live in 6 online episodes

“100 years of the peace gene! 100 years without war. 100 years of a united humanity.” All problems seem solved until, for inexplicable reasons, the peace gene of united humanity begins to regress. Egoism, exploitation of people and nature, wars, and climate catastrophes are once again knocking at humanity’s door. The first are already prepared to let them in if it means they can own and consume more, and alone.

The World Council then decides on a radical solution. Anyone who does not survive the escape room in the City.Country.Bus. will be biologically dismantled. Time is running out … .

Follow along as a small, unnoticed person – like you and me – is presented with the button to save humanity and does not know what the right thing is, but feels it deep inside …

fast * deadly * razor-sharp

From the program booklet:
“Omnibus Theater 17+1” City and countryside tomorrow and the day after tomorrow //
The failure of the markets, politics, the public sphere, and ultimately also top-level research lies at the center of this artistic-scientific research project, which seeks ways to bring us closer to achieving the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and to guide us as a society more effectively and sustainably through the transformation.
In the participatory process of the performance situation, these attempts also become the audience’s search. A shared thinking and feeling emerges in the space and laboratory of the theater.
The theater laboratory embarks on a journey of discovery from the city through the countryside into another city and through public space. Entertainment, laughter, and exciting stories bring people together in shared thought. We want to embark on this research journey with the audience in full seriousness and with all the urgency of the problems and horror scenarios ahead of us, while not forgetting lightness and entertainment. That is why we have added an eighteenth goal to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals: the right to good entertainment!
