Family Festival for World Children's Day

With theatre, music and dance by Alanus students

At the Family Festival for World Children’s Day on 20 September 2026, students from Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences will also be taking part with a diverse programme. At the GOP Varieté-Theater Bonn and the Radisson Blu Hotel Bonn, students from the Acting Department will present excerpts from their two bachelor’s graduation productions: the mini-musicals “Once upon a time in Lima” by and with Aitana Villa and “Immer wollen wir wer sein” by Mojo Joho. “Once Upon a Time in Lima” tells the story of a great love searching for its path between romantic dreams, everyday life and family responsibility. “Immer wollen wir wer sein” takes the audience on a musical journey and asks: who do we actually want to be?

In workshops, young visitors can also act, sing and dance. The 30-minute Masterclass Acting with Emilie Berg invites participants to get to know Lee Strasberg’s “animal work”, overcome their inner resistance and unleash their inner showstopper. The family festival takes place from 11 am to 5 pm. In addition to the activities offered by Alanus students, there will be workshops, games, sports activities and other offerings for various age groups. Admission is free.
