Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH, based in Bonn and Eschborn, is a new partner company of Alanus University – and is looking for two business administration students who would like to complete their practical phases with the service provider for international cooperation in sustainable development and international education.

At Alanus University, prospective students who would like to combine a business administration degree with extensive professional practice can study the Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration under the motto “Rethinking Business”. GIZ is one of around 30 partner companies of Alanus University, including Alnatura, Globus, Weleda and GLS Bank. Interested applicants can apply for the study places for the fall semester 2021 via GIZ’s online portal until October 9, 2020. During the three-year Business Administration degree program, students spend a total of 60 weeks at a partner company of their choice and apply the knowledge gained from their studies in day-to-day work. A special feature is that GIZ enables students to work abroad.

“We are very pleased to have gained GIZ, an internationally renowned company based in Bonn, as a practice partner,” says Stephan Hankammer, Junior Professor of Sustainable Management and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Business. For several years now, Alanus University has already been cooperating with GIZ staff as part of its teaching activities. “For our students, the cooperation is an extremely exciting opportunity to experience business administration linked to the topic of sustainability in national and international practice,” Hankammer adds.
