Research Network for Arts Therapies
Since the end of 2008, the University of Applied Arts and Social Sciences Ottersberg, the Nürtingen University of Art Therapy, and Alanus University Alfter have joined together to form a Research Network for Art Therapy (FVKT). Through this network, they aim to intensify subject-specific and interdisciplinary exchange between the universities and other academic institutions and to further develop and strengthen art therapy research as a whole. The partner universities are represented by scholars who actively conduct research in the field of art therapy and have demonstrated this through relevant publications. By organizing research conferences and working meetings, as well as through cooperative participation in specialist symposia and congresses at both national and international level, the network promotes scholarly communication on current research questions, ongoing projects, and the latest study findings, also beyond the boundaries of the discipline. Finally, one of the network’s tasks is the joint planning, conceptualization, implementation, and publication of more complex research projects.
Participants: Prof. Dr. Constanze Schulze (University of Applied Arts and Social Sciences, Ottersberg), Prof. Dr. Ulrich Elbing (HKT, Nürtingen), Prof. Dr. Harald Gruber (Alanus University Alfter), Prof. Dr. Thomas Ostermann (Witten/Herdecke University), Prof. Dr. Jörg Oster (Ulm University)
