KLAUS - Art Lab at and with Schools
Who is Klaus?
The name KLAUS stands for “Kunstlabor an und mit Schulen” (“Art Lab at and with Schools”). This multifaceted research and development project is being carried out at the Institute of School Pedagogy and Teacher Education at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in cooperation with the University of Teacher Education at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland. KLAUS is part of the Kunstlabore program run by MUTIK gGmbH and funded by Stiftung Mercator.
High-quality cultural education in schools for all children and young people—that is the goal of the overall Kunstlabore program. Within this framework, five experienced project partners from the fields of visual arts, literature, music, dance, and theater are further developing cultural programs together with selected schools so that other schools can benefit from their experience and become active themselves. The KLAUS project runs until the end of 2018.
