Multivalently Potent? Perspectives on Continuing to Build
The bachelor’s thesis by Alexander Jerosch-Herold, Jakob Krauss and Micha Kretschmann creates new perspectives for Bonn City Hall.
The City Hall was once intended to become Bonn’s new crown of the city and, with its towers, to create a modern landmark in the city skyline. Above all, however, it was meant to be a »house for the citizens« with its administrative apparatus. But City Hall became a building that citizens could complain about. Too large, almost brutal and bleak, that is how it appears to many people.
Today, Bonn is faced with the question of what should happen next with City Hall.
The design Multivalently Potent? addresses this question and creates perspectives for the continued existence and further development of City Hall as a stage, workshop, and home for human coexistence.
The design Multivalently Potent? was awarded 1st prize in the Campus Masters competition.
