Impact Capital: Funding Pathways for Social Impact Start-ups
When: 26.03.2026 - 26.03.2026
Location: Campus II, Seminar Room 12 (1st floor)
Overview of funding opportunities for impact start-ups. Followed by a deep dive and Q&A with Max Schuster, investor at capacura.
Ideas require not only passion but, alongside the right founding personalities, also the right capital. The various financing options such as scholarships, loans, crowdfunding, business angels, and more often seem complex – especially when social or ecological impact is meant to take center stage. To do justice to this complexity, we warmly invite you to our “Impact Capital” event, where we connect theory and practice. What to expect:
- Part 1: Overview of the funding landscape. We provide you with a structured overview of the various options: from start-up scholarships and subsidized loans to crowdfunding and business angels. Which instrument is suitable for which phase of your start-up?
- Part 2: Deep dive with capacura. How do professional investors view sustainable start-ups? We are welcoming Max Schuster, a VC expert from capacura as our guest, who can report directly from practical experience: What constitutes an “impact investment case”? How is impact measured? How should impact start-ups present themselves to investors?
Whether you are only considering founding a start-up, already have an idea, or have a market-ready product – this evening offers comprehensive information as well as the opportunity to connect with practitioners. The key details:
- When? Thursday, 26.03.2026 | 6:00 p.m. – approx. 8:30 p.m.
- Where? Alanus University – Campus II Villestraße, Seminar Room 12
- Who? Students, founders, and anyone interested in social impact entrepreneurship
