Entanglements. Philosophical reading course on New Materialism
“New Materialism” understands reality as a dynamic web of relationships in which it is not only human beings who act. Matter has a life of its own – and is therefore more than ‘mere’ matter, raw material or object. In general, boundaries become permeable, allowing nature, technology and art to enter into exciting, fruitful and challenging entanglements. In the seminar session on 26 May, we will likely discuss a text by the philosopher Rosi Braidotti.
