Entanglements. Philosophical reading course on New Materialism
“New Materialism” understands reality as a dynamic network of relationships in which not only human beings act, and not just primarily them. Matter has a life of its own – and is therefore more than ‘mere’ matter, raw material, or object. Boundaries generally become permeable, allowing nature, technology, and art to enter into exciting, fruitful, and challenging entanglements. In the seminar session on 26 May, we will presumably discuss a text by the philosopher Rosi Braidotti.
