For students in the MA Education and interested Waldorf and primary school educators
All students in the Master’s degree program in Education can take part in the Certificate Course in Speech and Theatre Education in Waldorf schools, primary schools, daycare centers and after-school care, as well as interested Waldorf and primary school educators who would like to use the certificate course for professional development.
Healthy language development and its support form the basis for participation in social life and are therefore essential for the child’s personal development. Triggered by the PISA study, children’s language support has become a focus of society and is one of the central educational tasks of daycare centers and schools.
In theatre education, spoken expression and physical action combine to form aesthetic interaction in a social context.
“Theatre education is an artistic-aesthetic practice that is legitimized by its own aesthetic power. Theatre education moves in the light of art and in the backlight of pedagogy.” (Prof. Wolfgang Sting).
The required seminars can be taken as part of the regular degree program, plus one or two block weekends per semester, and are for the most part credited both toward the certificate course and toward other modules in the field of Aesthetic Education. For guidance, the individual seminars are identified with the corresponding STP module code.
