Students and staff at Alanus University are demonstrating for climate protection.
The topic of sustainability is a particular focus at Alanus University. Our students and staff are actively involved in the Fridays for Future movement and advocate for climate protection and fair trade.
Dirk Battenfeld, Professor in the degree programs BWL – Rethinking Economics, Sustainable Economics and Economics, Society, Innovation
“Climate change is the greatest challenge humanity has ever faced. We can only solve this challenge together!
Our current economic model, the way we have done business since the beginning of industrialization, is being called completely into question. The young generation currently demanding countermeasures from politicians must stand united and get to know all the arguments in formats such as Fridays for Future and the Public Climate School in order to prepare for political debate.”
Thomas Schmaus, Professor in the Studium Generale
“I am happy to support the Public Climate School because this is not just about ‘some’ topic, but about the whole.”
Since 2018, Alanus University has been recognized as a Fairtrade University.
