Emily and Indra studied art therapy. In the video, they talk about their challenging work, offer personal insights, and describe how their studies at Alanus University shaped them.

Indra Henn treats children and adolescents with mental illness at the Vitos Klinik Herborn in Hesse: “Children and adolescents can benefit greatly from art therapy!” She also teaches as a lecturer at Alanus University. “I really enjoy passing on my experience to students. As part of practical projects, I regularly support them during their first encounters at the clinic,” says Indra.

Emily Knittel comes from Berlin, studied in Alfter, and now lives in the very south of Germany – on Lake Constance. “My time at Alanus University helped me grow into my identity as a therapist.” Emily looks back very fondly on her student years; in her professional work at the Center for Psychiatry Reichenau, she benefits in particular from the many artistic experiences. “My work is very fulfilling, and it makes me happy when I can see that patients are able to experience joy in life through therapy.”
