Lecture series in the Department of Artistic Therapies and Therapy Sciences

This year’s lecture series explores the question of the specific potential of art in the therapeutic field. What role does art have, or what role is it given, in the treatment/support of people? Are there specific therapeutic qualities made possible through the use of artistic means of expression, and can these be identified? Art therapists provide practical and reflective insights into various fields of practice in which the interplay of art and therapy offers an opportunity to engage in creative activity, express feelings, work through conflicts, develop self-confidence, or cope with difficult phases of life.
