Recognition of Training and Continuing Education from Waldorf Pedagogical Training Institutions

Part-time Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education in 4 instead of 7 semesters

Graduates of training and continuing education programs at cooperating Waldorf pedagogical training institutions can have their training and continuing education achievements recognized for the part-time Bachelor’s degree program in Childhood Education with up to 90 credit points.

Through this recognition, it is possible to shorten the part-time degree program to 4 semesters (two years). During their studies, students attend in-person classes on site in Alfter as well as online events. Each academic year includes ten weekend sessions (Friday evening and Saturday) and three block weeks (Friday evening through the following Friday).

Entry into the part-time degree program in Childhood Education takes place each year in the autumn semester (September). 

The degree program concludes with the academic title Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) as well as state recognition as a childhood educator in accordance with the NRW Social Professions Recognition Act.
