Alanus University launches trial studies in acting

Deciding on a degree program is not always easy. To better support prospective students who are still undecided, Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter near Bonn has launched a new offering. Starting in the fall semester 2025/2026, interested applicants in the bachelor’s degree program performART will have the opportunity to study on a trial basis for the first two weeks of the semester (15/09 to 26/09/2025) to find out whether the program is right for them – free of charge and with no obligation. At the end of the two weeks, if they are interested, they can take the aptitude test and, if they pass, simply continue their studies. The aim is to make it easier for prospective students to begin their studies and to give them the most realistic possible insight into actual everyday student life.

The performART degree program is unique in the German-speaking world. performART combines performing and visual arts and prepares students for a professional future in artistic, educational, and therapeutic fields. The program gives students the opportunity to deepen their personal interests and to work both inter- and transdisciplinarily.
