Welcome to the cafeterias at Alanus University!
We at Alanus Werkhaus are delighted by your visit to our cafeterias and cafés. You can find us at Johannishof (Campus I) and on Villestraße (Campus II).
Sustainability matters to us: we do not serve meat at all in our cafeterias – just as we also avoid flavor enhancers and preservatives. Instead, we work with fresh ingredients and offer one vegetarian and one vegan dish every day, as well as salads and desserts. We use mostly organic products. We work with Querfeld, a company that rescues organic vegetables.
Not only students and employees of Alanus University and Werkhaus can eat with us, but external guests are also very welcome. And if you especially enjoy the food: we also offer catering!
For university events as well as private parties.
Sustainability to go!
Our cafeteria meals are also available to take away, exclusively in Rebowls, because climate protection and sustainable business practices are important to us. We do not use any disposable packaging at all. For a deposit of €5, you can get a Rebowl from us, and for €1 a Recup for drinks. Incidentally, the deposit cup and deposit bowl are 100% recyclable and BPA-free.

Opening Hours
During the semester, the cafeterias are open Monday to Friday from 12:00 to 14:00, and on Saturdays as needed (current opening hours can be found on the weekly menu).

Coffee?
Both at Campus I – Johannishof (with a cozy outdoor area and a fantastic view over the Rhine Valley) and at Campus II – Villestraße, our café team provides everyone from early morning onward with hot drinks, breakfast, soft drinks, cake, and everything your heart desires. Some people say we have the best nut corners in the world – all sustainably produced and at fair prices.
For overnight guests of the guesthouse, the café also prepares the morning breakfast buffet and, upon request, offers dinner for groups.
