Advanced Artistic Practice
The seminar focuses on deepening students’ own artistic positions as well as the independent development and implementation of intermedia projects. Elective areas such as painting, drawing, printmaking, sculpture, installation, photography and new media provide space for individual specializations. Practical work is complemented by reflection on positioning within art-historical and contemporary contexts, as well as in-depth knowledge of materials and tools.

Intertwinings. Philosophical reading course on New Materialism
“New Materialism” understands reality as a dynamic web of relationships in which not only humans act, and not only in the first place. Matter has a life of its own – and is therefore more than ‘mere’ matter, raw material or object. Boundaries in general become permeable, allowing nature, technology and art to enter into exciting, fruitful and challenging intertwinings. In the seminar session on 26 May, we will presumably discuss a text by the philosopher Rosi Braidotti.
