Sound Art – Fundamentals and Methods
Sound art focuses on sound itself and its effect in space instead of following classical rules such as melody or rhythm. Through experiments such as field recordings or alternative notation, the environment is perceived more consciously and a completely free, uninhibited form of expression is made possible. On the open day, we will be working with (experimental) digital music production.

Organisation (Department of Business)
This course conveys the fundamental concepts of business organisation theory and traces its theoretical development since Max Weber. The focus is on the design of organisational structures through division of labour and coordination, as well as the significance of informal and emergent processes such as corporate culture or micropolitics. Based on current case studies, innovative forms of organisation are also analysed from the perspective of employees and the company as a whole.

Entanglements. Philosophical Reading Course on New Materialism
“New Materialism” understands reality as a dynamic web of relationships in which not only human beings act. Matter has a life of its own – and is therefore more than ‘mere’ matter, raw material, or object. Boundaries generally become more permeable, allowing nature, technology, and art to enter into exciting, fruitful, and challenging entanglements. In the seminar session on 26 May, we will likely discuss a text by the philosopher Rosi Braidotti.
