The main campus of Alanus University, with its two sites—Campus I Johannishof and Campus II Villestraße—is idyllically located between Cologne and Bonn. If you prefer a quieter setting, Alfter offers a culturally diverse town with good infrastructure, a high quality of life, and numerous student housing options, from shared houses to apartments. A more urban, big-city atmosphere can be found in the nearby cities of Cologne and Bonn, which are easily accessible thanks to regular bus and train connections.
The region around Alanus University offers a beautiful landscape with many parks, forests, lakes, and of course the Rhine (including Kottenforst, Siebengebirge, and the Sieg Valley). There is also no shortage of leisure activities, with cultural events, festivals, and sports. Anyone looking for a part-time job will find plenty of options.

Whether you are looking for a place in a student residence, a single apartment, or a room in a shared flat, here you will find all the important information about accommodation as well as tips on various housing options. Please note that Alanus University does not directly arrange apartments or rooms. However, the university cooperates with an operator for student apartments that offers 122 fully furnished student apartments in the immediate vicinity of Campus II – Villestraße. You are also welcome to create your own notice, which we can post for you on the bulletin board.
