Psychosocial Counseling through Our Cooperation Partner

Alanus University has concluded a cooperation agreement with the Psychological Counseling Center of Studierendenwerk Bonn (PBS). Students at Alanus University can use this service free of charge and confidentially, without Alanus University being informed. Appointments for a consultation can be made by phone at +49 160 93449691 or by email at pbs@studierendenwerk-bonn.de. It is essential to request an appointment in advance, regardless of the counseling location.

Telephone appointment scheduling:
Monday and Wednesday 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

It is possible to attend several sessions. However, long-term therapy is not offered within the counseling center.

Appointments with PBS can be attended on site at Alanus University by prior arrangement. On-site appointments are available on Thursdays at 9:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m., or 11:00 a.m., Campus II – Villestraße, in Meeting Room 2nd floor in the green stairwell. The following dates are currently available:

8 October (meeting room, stairwell, 1st floor)
12 November
3 December

In addition, our students can receive counseling at the PBS office at Adenauerallee 63 by appointment. An open consultation hour takes place here on Wednesdays at 10:00 a.m. Please arrive promptly at 10:00 a.m.

Diagnostic services, outpatient and inpatient treatment, and counseling are offered for mental illnesses such as depression and bipolar disorders, obsessive-compulsive disorders, anxiety and anxiety disorders, psychoses, addiction disorders, crises of meaning and life, and burnout syndrome; as well as a number of specialized outpatient clinics, e.g. an outpatient clinic for patients with long-term depression, an anxiety clinic, and a stage fright clinic.

Department and Outpatient Clinic for Psychosomatic Medicine and Psychotherapy
The clinic offers in-depth diagnostic interviews to clarify psychosomatic and mental impairments or illnesses, discussion of the treatment indication, and information about treatment options within or outside the clinic.

University Outpatient Psychotherapy Clinic
Monthly consultation hour by prior appointment; an initial assessment of symptoms and a treatment recommendation are provided. Psychotherapy at the clinic may be possible if applicable (possibly billed through statutory health insurance for those
with public health insurance).
