The Chair
The Chair of Project Management teaches, on the one hand, the tools required for well-organized, structured, and goal-oriented work. On the other hand, students are enabled to initiate and collaboratively shape co-creation: this includes the ability to think in open-ended processes, develop flexible process designs, work in interdisciplinary teams, and engage in complex projects and diverse stakeholder constellations. The modules of the Chair of Project Management are primarily located in the master’s degree program, where the first tools are learned and applied through a combination of input and team-oriented exercises. In addition, this knowledge is transferred to students’ own study projects.
Research Focus Areas
Process architecture & project management
Participation, involvement & co-creation as processes of building culture
Community-oriented process design & common-good-oriented project development
Space for a limited time: temporary interventions, artistic installations, and design processes in public space
