1989-1991: Conceptualization, planning, and organizational preparatory work for the traveling exhibition “Ancestralismo pictório” (Abstract painting of the 1960s and 1970s in the Central Andean states), which was to be shown in Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, and the Federal Republic of Germany in 1992. (The project failed at the last moment due to funding difficulties.)
1987 internship in the textile restoration workshops of the Museo Nacional de Antropología, Peru
1987 teaching German as a foreign language at the Peruvian primary school “Giordano Bruno”, Lima.
1987-1988 traineeship at the Museo de Arte in Lima, Peru. Tasks included: preparation of text material for a didactic guide to the permanent exhibition “3000 Years of Art in Peru”; archival work; inventorying pre-Hispanic ceramics; conservation and restoration of a pre-Columbian mummy cloth.
1986 Magister degree. Topic of the master’s thesis: Methodological reflection on Erwin Panofsky’s iconology using Hieronymus Bosch’s “The Garden of Earthly Delights”
