Subsidy for company pension plans
We would like to support you in planning for retirement. If you take out a company pension plan through us, you can not only benefit from the tax advantages of salary conversion. In addition, we increase the statutory employer subsidy to 19 percent.

Special and additional leave
In addition to 30 days of annual leave, Alanus offers you extra vacation days; over Christmas and New Year, you receive up to two additional weeks of leave. Naturally, Rose Monday is also observed as a customary holiday! In addition, you are entitled to further special leave days in the event of particular exceptional circumstances in your life. As a family-friendly employer, we also grant, for example, up to five additional days of paid special leave beyond the legal requirements for caring for sick children up to the age of 14 as well as close relatives in need of care.

Mobile and flexible working
A full-time position at Alanus comprises only 38.5 hours per week. You organize your working hours independently and responsibly in coordination with your manager and depending on your area of responsibility. We want to support you in balancing your career and private life. Therefore, you can work remotely in consultation with your manager. We are happy to maintain the positive experiences we gained as an organization during the coronavirus period in order to offer you the greatest possible flexibility. Of course, you will receive equipment for mobile working, such as a work laptop and other work materials.

Bicycle leasing
As an Alanus employee, after your probationary period you have the option of leasing up to two bicycles (for one bicycle up to a maximum of €5,000, for two bicycles up to a maximum of €8,000). Thanks to salary conversion, this results in a tax advantage for you. In addition, you receive a 19 percent subsidy. A prerequisite is that the term of your employment contract is at least 3 years. Of course, you can use the bicycle not only for commuting to work but also privately.

Continuing education
The personal and professional development as well as the continuing education of all employees are important to us. That is why we support the use of educational leave. Employees also have the opportunity to attend lectures we offer by internal and external speakers on a variety of topics. In addition, as an employee you can take part in weekend programs at the Alanus Werkhaus with a discount of up to 50%. Your contact person is your manager.

Mediators
Things do not always run smoothly in everyday (professional) life. That is why Alanus employees have the opportunity to confidentially contact our ombudswoman or our internal mediators in the event of conflicts. As trained mediators, they are qualified to moderate the mediation process as independent and neutral individuals and thus support you in resolving conflicts.

Subsidized lunch
Our cafeterias offer employees and students a vegan and vegetarian selection every day. As an Alanus employee, you receive lunch at a reduced price. More than one third of the price is subsidized.

Free drinks for employees
Coffee, tea, and water are available to you free of charge.
