15 May 2023 - The staff of Alanus University and Alanus Werkhaus mourn the loss of a dear person. Nicole Emser provided good coffee. And a good atmosphere. For many years in the cafeteria at Johannishof, and in recent months at the infopoint. She knew who liked their cappuccino which way, preferably with oat milk or a little cinnamon.

For many years in the cafeteria at Johannishof, and in recent months at the infopoint. She knew who liked their cappuccino which way, preferably with oat milk or a little cinnamon.
Nicole Emser defied cancer from the first time it took hold of her 13 years ago. She would not let it break her. Not this cancer. Not even when it returned eight weeks ago. With full force. “Buddy and Chip (her dogs), that is the best therapy for me,” she said when the side effects of the radiation treatment barely allowed her to sleep.
On 15 May 2023, she could go on no longer. Her death has struck us suddenly and unexpectedly. Nicole will be missed. As a person, as a colleague at Alanus! We wish her family and friends much strength and confidence!
