Germany’s largest university ranking with a new top result for Alanus University

Alanus University’s Business Administration students are very satisfied with their study situation: This is the result of the new university ranking by the Centre for Higher Education Development (CHE), which DIE ZEIT published in the new ZEIT Study Guide 2023/24 as well as on HeyStudium.
According to the ranking, the business degree programmes are in the top group in the categories “Overall study situation” and “Support”.
“We are very pleased that the university ranking reflects our outstanding study conditions and development opportunities,” says Professor Gregor Krämer, Dean of the Department of Business. “Our students particularly appreciate our diverse range of courses, including those related to sustainability, the strong practical orientation throughout their studies, and the small learning groups that enable close exchange between students and lecturers.”
The Department of Business at Alanus University offers practice-oriented education: it cooperates with around 40 practice partners that pursue socially and ecologically oriented corporate management. There, students can gain up to 60 weeks of professional experience by the time they complete their degree.
The CHE ranking highlights the distinctive features of degree programmes from the students’ perspective. According to the evaluation, Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences stands out in particular. It receives a great deal of praise from its students in the field of Business Administration: they are especially very satisfied with the range of courses, the breadth of content, the support provided by teaching staff during their studies, and the practical orientation of the teaching. With around 120,000 students surveyed, the CHE university ranking has been the most comprehensive and detailed university comparison in the German-speaking world for 25 years. In addition to facts in the areas of study, teaching and research, the ranking includes students’ assessments of study conditions at universities.
