Academic Conference 2019 of the Erich Gutenberg Working Group Cologne e. V.
At the end of June, the 2019 academic conference of the Erich Gutenberg Working Group Cologne e. V. on the topic of “Transparency and Sustainability in Business” took place at Alanus University. At the conference, Prof. Dr. Stephan Hankammer, Samanthi Silva, Isabell Wulfsberg, and Kathleen Jacobs presented current research projects for discussion in the context of transparency and sustainability management. The opportunity for professional exchange was intensively used by the association members present and other interested scholars.
Erich Gutenberg is regarded as the founder of business administration as an academic discipline in Germany and, through his “working group,” particularly promoted exchange among early-career researchers on current and practice-oriented business topics. In this tradition, the association, which has around 200 members from academia, business, and politics, continues to cultivate the further development of a theory of the firm through dialogue between academia and practice.
