The Senate of Alanus University has elected a new Vice President: Art Professor Andrea Sunder-Plassmann will strengthen the Executive Board with immediate effect and will focus in particular on further development in the artistic context and with regard to internationalization.

Andrea Sunder-Plassmann is Professor of Photography, New Media and Installation at Alanus University and most recently served as Dean of the Department of Fine Arts. She succeeds Professor Bart-Jereon Kool, who previously represented the artistic departments. The new Dean of the Department of Fine Arts is Professor Johannes Brunner.

“I am pleased to have gained Andrea Sunder-Plassmann for the Executive Board. Thanks to the experience she gained as Dean, she will be able to play an active role in shaping the university’s current development process. She has extensive experience in the areas of interdisciplinarity, sustainability and internationalization,” says Rector Hans-Joachim Pieper. “The new Executive Board has set itself the goal of further enhancing the quality and attractiveness of the university both in its teaching offerings and in its partnerships,” Pieper adds.
