Graduates of Waldorf Education at Alanus University report on their everyday professional lives.

Lisa Brix and Thilo Erythropel studied the Master’s degree programme in Waldorf Education. In the video, they talk about their varied and fulfilling educational work, offer personal insights, and describe how their studies at Alanus University in Alfter have shaped them. Lisa is now a class teacher at the Bonn Waldorf School. Thilo, meanwhile, teaches in Hamburg as a class teacher at the Rudolf Steiner School Harburg.

Lisa looks back fondly on her studies: “The study days were really intensive and demanding, but they were also structured so well that they were made much more enjoyable through our own artistic activities and a variety of methods. And what was especially wonderful was experiencing how warmly and attentively the lecturers responded to us.”

Thilo, too, is glad to have studied at Alanus University: “How can we ensure that Waldorf schools become even more reflective of society? And how can we meet the challenges of the present within Waldorf education? These are the kinds of questions that interested me from the very beginning of my studies and still do today. That is why Alanus University was exactly the right place for me to study Waldorf education. Here, I was encouraged to question supposedly universal Waldorf concepts and, where appropriate, to rethink them.”
