Committee for International Affairs

The Committee for International Affairs works on implementing the university’s internationalization goals. It serves as a forum for optimizing university-wide processes in the international field. At the same time, it offers the individual departments and functional areas the opportunity to exchange information about their internationalization measures. The establishment of this standing committee is one result of the work of the International Affairs Working Group, which was set up in summer 2020 as part of the organizational development process. Further results of the working group and committee work include the revised edition of the university’s Internationalization Strategy, proposed measures for its implementation, and the formulation of department-specific internationalization priorities. The Committee for International Affairs meets twice a year (in November and April respectively); between meetings, the topics continue to be worked on in smaller working groups. The CfIA is coordinated by the Executive Board/International Office.
