Class of Prof. Andrea Sunder-Plassmann
#Media Art #Performative Art #Photography #Art Installation
The studio of Professor Andrea Sunder-Plassmann is open to work with photographic, filmic, acoustic, and/or other media techniques. As part of their work, students can also engage with adjacent hybrid areas such as spatial constellations and temporary installations.
As part of the teaching, students develop their own artistic projects. Through regular constructive discussions based on mutual trust within the group and individual, intensive one-on-one mentoring by Professor Andrea Sunder-Plassmann, the artists are supported and guided through this process. During their artistic education, students should become consciously aware of their own creative process and reflect on it. The goal is to recognize and possibly overcome personal boundaries. In addition, international collaborations and joint artistic projects are intended to be part of the painting class. Professor Andrea Sunder-Plassmann sees international exchange as an important complement to artistic skills. In any case, self-motivated work is essential for participation.
“When working with media, the sensory-haptic experience as well as the creation of atmospheric environments as a bridge to the physical body are matters of great importance to me. This also includes the participation of viewers and interaction with the work in the broadest sense.”
– Sunder-Plassmann
