Intertwinings. Philosophical reading course on New Materialism
“New Materialism” understands reality as a dynamic web of relationships in which not only humans are active. Matter has a life of its own – and is therefore more than ‘mere’ matter, raw material, or object. Boundaries in general become permeable, allowing nature, technology, and art to enter into exciting, fruitful, and challenging intertwinings. In the seminar session on 26 May, we will presumably discuss a text by the philosopher Rosi Braidotti.
