New Ways of Working in New Spaces

This question was discussed at the leadership workshop on the topic of “New Ways of Working in New Spaces” held by the Institute for Social Organics at Alnatura’s new corporate headquarters in Darmstadt.

In his lecture, Prof. Götz Rehn, founder of Alnatura and head of the Institute for Social Organics at Alanus University, presented the new Alnatura working environment and compared it with other office concepts. To what extent does it promote new forms of collaboration such as agile working and holacracy? How do the new spatial concepts influence the way people work together? How can the world of work be redesigned for and together with employees?

Andrea Simone Barth, research associate in the Department of Business at Alanus University, explained the significance of organizational space and its functions and characteristics. In doing so, she referred to Henri Lefèbvre’s theory of space and his concept of the spatial triad.

The program was framed by several experimental spatial experiences, guided by Anke Sauer-Fresen.
