Erasmus student leaves a lasting mark

Artistic design of Seminar Room 11 on Campus II

Andreea Pulpan from the state George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași, Romania, studied Fine Arts at Alanus University as an Erasmus exchange student in the spring semester of 2021. Her commitment and enthusiasm for mural arts during the exchange semester, which was made more difficult by coronavirus, were undiminished: she artistically designed Seminar Room 11. Since she has so far received little feedback due to coronavirus, Andreea Pulpan would be very pleased to hear your thoughts. Here you can get an even better impression of her artwork in video form.

The Erasmus programme is the largest student exchange programme in the world. In the autumn semester, Alanus students will be studying in Norway, Latvia, Spain, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Egypt, among other places. „[…] The global problem I had encountered during my studies, known as “Covid 19”, did not prevent me in achieving the things I wanted: I managed to travel for the first time thanks to the mobility, to know new working perspectives, new mindsets and new teachers who helped me in my development as an artist.”

“[…] I will gladly present my most important achievement. Being a Romanian student who’s specializing in mural art I did not think that I would have the opportunity to develop my talent, my ideas in another country (Germany) and to have the necessary support for this. The specialization, the subjects and the faculty matched. I had the teacher’s confirmation to paint the inside of an entire classroom that had two free walls.”
