Change starts with education!
20 November 2023 - A student initiative from Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter and the University of Bonn’s “Students for Future” are once again joining forces for the “Public Climate School” from 20 to 24 November 2023.
A student initiative from Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter and the University of Bonn’s “Students for Future” are once again joining forces for the “Public Climate School” from 20 to 24 November 2023.
With lectures, seminars and hands-on activities, students and lecturers are taking part in the nationwide week of action. The aim is to bring the topics of climate education and sustainability into society and specifically into universities, higher education institutions and schools. Everyone interested is invited to attend the free events.
The events will take place at Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences in Alfter and at the University of Bonn. Programme highlights include the Climate Slam (20 Nov) and the clothes swap party (21 Nov), as well as lectures and seminars on global sea level rise (21 Nov), engaging employees in climate action (22 Nov) and sustainability management (23 Nov). Also open to the public is the university discussion “Education for a Sustainable Future” (22 Nov), organised by the Department of Educational Sciences and the Student Council of Alanus University.
