The Senate of Alanus University has unanimously elected Michael Schröder as the new Chancellor.
The Senate of Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences elected Michael Schröder unanimously as the new Chancellor on 13 December 2023: since June, Schröder has already been Managing Director of the state-accredited university of the arts in Alfter near Bonn. “With Michael Schröder, we are gaining an experienced leader with deep entrepreneurial expertise and a great passion for education,” says Hans-Joachim Pieper, Rector of Alanus University.
Michael Schröder is looking forward to the tasks ahead: “Alanus University is unique in the German higher education landscape. I am firmly determined to strengthen this position even further. Students are always at the center, and I will do everything I can to create an environment that supports their development and growth.”
Michael Schröder has also been Managing Director of the Institute for Waldorf Education, Inclusion and Interculturality at Alanus University in Mannheim since 2012. During his tenure, he developed the Mannheim study center into a successful place of study. Before that, Michael Schröder ran his own medium-sized company for many years.
