Alanus University takes over the Bad Honnef campus from IU International University

The handover of the building will take place on 01/10/2025. IU students can remain on campus until 30/09/2026.

IU International University (IU) is transferring its location in Bad Honnef to Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences, based in Alfter near Bonn. This ensures the continued use of the historic building complex on Mülheimer Straße. The handover of the site will take place on 01/10/2025. The approximately 300 current international IU students will continue to be supported by IU on the Bad Honnef campus until 30/09/2026 and can then move to nearby IU locations.

To ensure smooth academic operations, IU will retain lecture rooms and offices on the Bad Honnef campus until 30/09/2026. Until then, students may also keep their dormitory places on the premises. The approximately 100 employees of IU International University at the Bad Honnef location will partly be taken on by Alanus University or transferred to the nearby IU campus in Bonn.
