Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences is launching with a new look

This news item is part of a new beginning: on 25 March 2026, Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences will present itself with a new website—as a central component of a comprehensively renewed corporate design (CD).

With the new CD, the university is also introducing a new house color: a fresh raspberry red that will shape its cross-media presence in the future—from digital applications to print products and merchandise. At the center is the new website at alanus.edu. It was developed consistently “mobile first” and is aimed specifically at prospective students, who now primarily seek information via smartphone.

The most important new features at a glance:

  • Modern design with a new color and visual world as well as typography
  • Clearly structured navigation with direct entry points
  • Newly designed degree program pages
  • Revised content and texts
  • Jump links for quick orientation
  • Testimonials from students and alumni
  • Accessible design

The new look makes clear what Alanus University of Arts and Social Sciences stands for: an educational concept that combines artistic practice, academic reflection, and social responsibility. A central element of the new corporate design is the revised logo, which now visibly includes the full name with the addition “Arts and Social Sciences.” The new corporate design is complemented by the new house typeface “Inter” as well as a color realignment with the primary color “Alanus Raspberry” and the secondary color “Tuffy Yellow.”

The website relaunch was launched in autumn 2024: departments, administration, and university management were actively involved in various phases and contributed feedback and ideas for further development. Students and external prospective students were also involved selectively in order to take the user perspective into account at an early stage.

A new website based on the new concept is also currently being created for the Mannheim Study Center.

Despite intensive testing, minor errors may occasionally occur at launch. Feedback is welcome and can be reported directly to: webseite.alanus@alanus.edu
