Directions
Alanus University has two locations in Alfter (between Cologne and Bonn): Campus I – Johannishof and Campus II – Villestraße. In addition, Alanus University operates a study center in Mannheim.

Location Campus I – Johannishof
The departments of Fine Arts, Eurythmy, and Acting are located at Campus I – Johannishof. The Executive Board parking lot is available for guests of the Rectorate.

Campus II – Villestraße houses the departments of Architecture, Business, Artistic Therapies, and Educational Sciences, as well as the majority of the administration.

To commute flexibly and independently between the university locations, RVK e-bikes from nextbike can be rented at both campuses.

The study center in Mannheim is part of the Department of Educational Sciences and complements the university’s degree offerings with additional education-related programs.
By public transport from Bonn
From Bonn Central Station take tram line (subway) 18 (toward Cologne-Thielenbruch) or 68 (toward Bornheim) for about ten minutes to the “Alfter Stadtbahn/Alanus Hochschule” stop.
To Campus I – Johannishof it takes about 30 minutes on foot from the “Alfter Stadtbahn/Alanus Hochschule” stop. Follow the signs to “Alanus Hochschule Johannishof”. Alternatively, minibus line 882 takes you from the “Alfter Stadtbahn” stop to the “Lohheckenweg” stop. From there, it is about a 5-minute walk to Johannishof. Bus line 843 takes you from the “Alfter Stadtbahn” stop to the “Hertersplatz” stop. From there, it is about a 15-minute walk to Johannishof.
To Campus II – Villestraße from the “Alfter Stadtbahn/Alanus Hochschule” stop, coming from the train stop, follow the street “Im Benden” on foot to the left and turn right into Bonn-Brühler-Straße after 600 m. After 200 m, the second campus of Alanus University is on the left-hand side. Alternatively, you can take minibus line 842 for one stop from the “Alfter Stadtbahn” stop to the “Alfter Im Benden” stop, follow the road for about 60 m in the direction of travel, and turn into Bonn-Brühler-Straße. You will find Campus II after 200 m on the left-hand side.
By public transport from Cologne
Coming from Cologne take regional rail to the “Roisdorf Bahnhof” stop.
To Campus I – Johannishof take minibus line 882. It will take you to the “Lohheckenweg” stop in about ten minutes. From there, it is about a 5-minute walk to Johannishof.
To Campus II – Villestraße leave the platform in the direction of Bonn-Brühler-Straße. Follow the main road to the left for about 1,000 m. After around ten minutes, you will reach the university’s second campus on the left-hand side. Alternatively, you can take minibus line 882 to the “Im Benden” stop, walk back to Bonn-Brühler-Straße, and continue along it toward Bonn. After 200 m, the second campus of Alanus University is on the left-hand side.
