To reflect its teaching and research commitments, Alanus University is divided into seven faculties comprising of a number of departments and institutes.

01. Faculty of Visual Arts

Department of Sculpture

Department of Painting

02. Faculty of Performing Arts

Department of Drama
This department offers link_normal.gif a degree course in Speech and Drama. Students graduate with a Diploma (approx. equivalent: M.A.).

Department of Eurythmy
This department offers link_normal.gif a Bachelor's course in Eurythmy and link_normal.gif a Master’s course with the option to focus on Stage Eurythmy, Eurythmy Therapy, Eurythmy Teacher Training or Social Eurythmy.

03. Faculty of Art Therapy

Department of Art Therapy
This department offers link_normal.gif a Master’s course in Art Therapy and link_normal.gif a further training course in Art Therapy (part-time).

Department of Eurythmy Therapy
The department offers link_normal.gif a Master’s course in Eurythmy with a specialization in Eurythmy Therapy.

04. Faculty of Architecture

The Faculty offers link_normal.gif a Bachelor's course in Architecture and link_normal.gif a Master's course in Architecture.

05. Faculty of Education and Human Development

The faculty consists of six departments or institutes with their own areas of responsibility:

Department of Education and Training
Focus: research, development and consultation
Responsibilities: basic scientific research, research training (PhD, Post-doc), collaborative research, project development, curriculum development, maturity learning.

Institute of Education and Teacher Training
Focus: academic training, teaching and examinations/quality assurance, teacher education, research.
The Institute offers the following courses:
link_normal.gif an art teacher training course for teaching in secondary schools. Students graduate with an "Erste Staatsprüfung" qualification.

Institute for Empirical Social Research
Focus: practice-based research, quality assurance

Institute of Curative Education and Social Therapy
The institute offers link_normal.gif a master's degree in curative education and social therapy including education, management and research.

Institute of Philosophy and Aesthetics
Focus: lecturers and seminars in philosophy and aesthetics that complement the universities other courses. These are delivered as part of the link_normal.gif Studium Generale programme. Students also have the option to participate in cultural and art-based seminars run by the Art in Dialogue Institute

Institute of Early Childhood Education
The institute offers link_normal.gif a Bachelor course in early childhood education.

06. Faculty of Business Management

The Faculty offers a link_normal.gif Bachelor’s in Business Management, which can be followed by link_normal.gif a Master’s in Business Management.
The Department is affiliated with the Institut für Sozialorganik, which is lead by Honorary Professor Dr. Götz E. Rehn.
